Stucco Contractor in Lakeland, FL
New stucco, full re-stucco and stucco replacement for homes and commercial buildings across Polk County, applied in proper coats over block or frame walls.
When Does a House Need New Stucco?
Stucco is the most common exterior finish on Florida block homes, and a few hairline cracks are normal. Widespread cracking, sections that sound hollow when tapped, staining that keeps coming back, bubbling paint and water getting in around windows are signs the stucco is failing. At that point patching usually just moves the problem around, and a full re-stucco or replacement is the better fix. On wood-frame walls, failed stucco can trap water against the framing and cause rot that is hidden until it is serious.
We remove loose or failed stucco, repair the wall underneath and, on frame walls, install new lath, weather barrier and weep screed so water has a way out. The stucco then goes on in proper coats, each one given time to cure, followed by a finish coat with a texture matched across the whole house. Windows and doors are flashed and sealed, and the walls are left ready for paint.

Common Stucco Questions
Fine hairline cracks are common and usually cosmetic. Cracks wider than a credit card, cracks that run diagonally from window corners, stair-step patterns or areas that sound hollow when tapped are worth having evaluated, because they can let water into the wall.
Properly applied stucco over block can last for decades in Florida with periodic painting and crack sealing. Stucco over wood framing is more sensitive to how it was installed and needs a working drainage system behind it.
Yes. Because we focus on full stucco jobs, we apply the finish texture consistently across entire walls or the whole house, which avoids the patchy look of spot repairs.
It depends on the size of the home and how much removal is needed, but a full re-stucco typically takes a few weeks because each coat needs time to cure before the next goes on.
Our focus is full stucco jobs such as re-stuccoing a house, replacing failed stucco on frame walls or stucco for additions. If you only need a small patch, we will tell you honestly.
Good stucco depends on patience. Each coat needs time to cure before the next goes on, and rushing it is how you get cracks within a year. We schedule the work so every coat cures properly, protect windows and landscaping while we work, and leave you with walls that are sealed, uniform and ready for paint.
